Rob Fini -- PITdata - Performance Information Technologies

Rob earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics with a specialization in microelectronics from Rutgers University. As the culmination of his coursework, his senior design project consisted of board-level design, fabrication and trial of an on-board data acquisition and display system for mobile performance applications, long before such systems were available anywhere below the highest levels of motorsport.

Rob’s prior career was in the Multimedia Communications Technology industry, providing design, engineering and project management services for systems involving audio, video, computer display and teleconferencing requirements for corporate, institutional, hospitality and medical facilities. Rob has owned and managed an independent engineering practice for more than a decade and has earned recognition as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). While working his way through college, Rob was employed as a laboratory technician in advanced technologies for a manufacturer of computer network analysis equipment, with duties including research, design, fabrication, testing and documentation of prototypes for future production.

Rob’s driving experience includes more than 20 years of autocross, time trials, high-performance driver education (HPDE) and rallying. When not helping clients apply technological tools to improve their driving performance, he can usually be found in, on or under an old Mercedes-Benz; Rob is a member of the NJMP Drivers Club, as well as the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, the Sports Car Club of America and the Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE International.
